Peace Love: Bling It or Cut It

I have been getting back to the basics lately with my cutting files. Easier to convert to rhinestone templates; my new favorite thing!! Anyway, I have a peace sign and a peace sign in a heart in both dxf and svg formats for cutting.  The same files are available in the lower portion of this post for size 10ss rhinestone templates.
Find the peace heart here in svg and here in dxf.
Find the peace sign here in svg and here in dxf.

Both rhinestone templates are cut for size 10ss stones. Find the peace heart as a rhinestone template here in svg and here in dxf format.  Find the peace sign here as an svg template and here as a dxf template.  The file measurements in the form of width x height are part of the file name for the template download. If they do not import into your program at that size, resize them appropriately.

Happy Creating!!

Flip Flops: Bling it or Cut it

Here is a rhinestone template designed for 10ss and 16ss size stone.  The file itself should measure 3.721" wide by 5.140" high.  If it doesn't import into your program at those dimensions re-size it or the holes will not be the right size.  Find the svg file here.  Find the dxf file (for Silhouette Studio) here.

If you want a cut file of flip flops, find these flip flops (and two other pairs of summer shoes - a guys sandal and a dress sandal) here.  Sorry Studio users I haven't converted these to dxf yet for use in your standard version of Studio but you can see how to do that yourself at this post!
Happy creating!!

Steaming Coffee Cutting Board

I threw this together this afternoon.  It is a round cutting board from Dollar General.  (Gotta love it when you get cool stuff for $1).  Anyway, find the file here in svg format.  Here in dxf format.  (Silhouette compatible)  Remember, when you do a cutting board, flip your image and put it on the backside.  You don't want to be cutting up all that pretty vinyl!!

Thanks for looking!!

Houndstooth Tumbler Wrap

Here is another tumbler wrap; and yes, there are more on the way. Remember, all of my wraps are sized for the 16 oz tumblers from Silkletter. If you use a different tumbler they will likely not fit and will need to resized. If you are not sure, print it out on paper first in the size I give, cut it out with a scissors and wrap the paper around your tumbler to see how it wraps before wasting any vinyl.
This is a houndstooth style wrap.
Depending on what program you bring it into, it may come in at something other than its actual size. The houndstooth wrap should be 11.421 imches wide by 5.907 inches high. Download it here in SVG format. Download it here in DXF (silhouette studio compatible) format.
If you cut the houndstooth wrap let me know how it works, I haven't cut it yet. Thanks for looking. More wraps coming.

A Couple More Tumbler Wraps

Here are two more tumbler wraps;  there are more on the way.   All of my wraps are sized for the 16 oz tumblers from Silkletter.  If you use a different tumbler they will likely not fit and will need to resized.  If you are not sure, print it out on paper first in the size I give, cut it out with a scissors and wrap the paper around your tumbler to see how it wraps before wasting any vinyl.

First one is a swirl  pattern wrap.
Depending on what program you bring  it into, it may come in at something other than its actual size.  The swirl wrap should be 11.3062 wide by 5.6162 high.  Download it here in SVG format.  Download it here in DXF (silhouette studio compatible) format.
Here is a blank template for the wraps if you have some patterns you would like to make into a wrap but can't bend and warp it the right way.  (If you have a relatively recent version of Make the Cut there is a feature that does this for you.)  Download the blank wrap here in SVG format. Download it here in DXF (silhouette studio compatible) format. The blank wrap measures 11.5694" wide and 6.2490" high.

If you cut the swirl wrap let me know how it works, I haven't cut it yet.  Thanks for looking.  More wraps coming this week.

Some Files to Share

I have been busy making tumblers today.  I made some of these files for them and want to share them with you.  I am going to start posting my files in SVG and DXF format.  The DXF format can be open in the Silhouette Studio software and cut on the Silhouette machines.  If you want to convert an SVG file to a cuttable file in Silhouette Studio, click here, this post will tell you how to do it.
Here are some cutting files, I used them on a couple of the tumblers I made today.  I will post project pictures in a day or two.
Here are the downloads for the orange and yellow fish:  DXF  SVG
Here are the downloads for the pink and green fish: DXF SVG
Here are the downloads for the horse head: DXF SVG

Scrolly Fleur de Lis Frame

I made this frame for a friend to use for some holiday gifts.  I took the basic design from a cocktail napkin and simplified it a bit to cut better.  You can download it here in svg format if you like it.  Thanks for looking.

Here is a project my friend Cami made using this file. Find her facebook page full of her awesome vinyl projects here. She ungrouped it in SCAL and increased the space between the top and the bottom  so she had room for the whole name.  Thanks so much for sharing Cami, LOVE IT!!

Remember if you are going to apply vinyl to a cutting board flip your image before you cut it and apply to the BOTTOM of the cutting board!  Happy Cutting!!

Can Koozies

I made some koozies today. So very cool!! I got this idea from Tonner over on the Smart Buy Gal message board, this post to be exact!
Side One

Side Two
So easy, quick and inexpensive.  Buy some thin neoprene.  I got mine at JoAnn's.  It is about $20 a yard, so use a 50% off coupon. I bought 1/2 a yard and it will make about 20  regular sized koozies.

You can download the svg of the template for the regular sized koozie here.  The svg for a 16 oz koozie here.  The regular sized koozie is 4" square on both sides with a 2" circle in the middle.  The tall one is 4" wide across each rectangle and each rectangle is 5.375" long.  The circle is 2"; same size as the small one.

Cut a template out of cardstock.  I used vinyl backing for the tall one because it is longer than 12" and I could not find cardstock long enough.  Use the template to draw the outline of the koozie on the neoprene in pencil.  Cut it out.  I used the template and scissors as I did not think my cutter would handle the neoprene, even with the deep cut blade.  Design and cut some heat transfer vinyl and apply it to your koozie or bling it up however you would like.  See the picture below for how to face your design.

Koozie cardstock template in the middle.
One cut out koozie on each side.
Line up the sides, outsides facing in.  Sew up each side joining the two halves together.  Sew as close to the edge as you can.  Once you have sewn them, flip so they are no longer inside-out and viola, koozie.  Grab yourself something cold to drink, slide it in your new koozie and ENJOY!

Mels Simple Purse Template

I saw these cute purses on Mel's blog and had to make SVG cutting files out of them. So dang cute.  I haven't cut them yet, so let me kow if there are any problems, and thanks so much Mel for the AWESOME templates.  Make sure you visit her blog and leave her some love!!

You can downoad the SVG of the purse here.  You can get the SVG of the decorative panels here.   The SVG of the purse has both cutting lines and score lines.  Import the SVG into yor cutting program.  Ungroup the file.  (This will seperate the cutting lines from the score lines.)  If you want to learn how to use the score lines to the fullest potential, Kay has a great tutorial here on her blog.

Thanks for looking and happy cutting!!

Nine Fun Flowers

Here are some simple flower svgs.  If you like them, the whole set can be downloaded here.  Once you download, just ungroup the set and you should be able to work with each individually.  If a flower has more than one layer, just select that individaul flower after ungrouping the set, and ungroup.  I hope you can use them for something.

Nothing Says Summer Like a Flamingo!!

I needed a simple, layered flamingo file. Counldn't find anything I liked so I made one using a coloring page. You can download the svg here. Just import it into your program and ungroup the image for the different layers. Hope you can use this one!!

EDIT 7/14:
I cut this out of vinyl last night.  I did not use the brown legs at a size less than 3" high.  It looks great with just the pink, yellow and black!!  I will post a picture of my completed project later this evening.
