I made a t-shirt for the hubby with heat tranfer vinyl. The graphic matches his
snowmobile windshield and the saying is a poker related. We enjoy playing a little poker with friends from time to time, so this seemed fitting!! It says: "Nice Hand, Sir! (And by hand I mean catch, and by Sir I mean moron.)"
I think he likes the shirt, but the blue is a little bright for him. Can't win them all!!
Thanks for looking.
That is so cool! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE your blog!! I've been Cricutting for a couple of years now but have never been brave enough to work with vinyl. Where do you get yours (both heat transfer and the stuff you use on glass)?? I'd like to try and make some sleepover favors for my daughter's upcoming slumber party. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Candace. Thanks so much for your kind words. Vinyl is waaaaay easier to work with than paper, cuts like a dream and a piece of cake to place. If you can work with paper (which I can't, LOL) you will find vinyl sooo easy.)
ReplyDeleteI order my vinyl from HH sign. Find a coupon code for your first order (free shipping) and some awesome directions on using vinyl, heat transfer and regular, on Leslie's blog, right hand column: http://cardmkrleslie.blogspot.com
For a smaller, "beginner" order try craftvinyl.com or expressionsvinyl.com. HH is cheaper for more vinyl, but you really need to order in larger quantities to make it worth it. craft vinyl and expressions vinyl are good places to get a smaller order to start with to "test the waters."
For my daughter's birthday party last year, which was a sleepover, I made them water bottles from the dollar store with their names on them in vinyl with flowers and girly stuff. I bought a six pound bag of gummy bears from Sams Club and filled the water bottles with gummy bears. Big hit!! If you are doing the water bottles, make sure you use outdoor or permanent vinyl (Oracal 651 is what I use.) On the other hand, if you use vinyl on a wall use "indoor" vinyl. (Oracal 631 is one example.) Good luck with the vinyl, I warn you, once you start, you'll be addicted!! :-)
